Welcome from the Headmaster
Choosing an international school for your children is one of the most important decisions you will ever make on their behalf. That is why I am absolutely thrilled that we at King’s College India will be making the finest British education available to young people in India, providing what I believe to be a life changing experience. As well as our broad curriculum following the Cambridge Primary syllabus through to IGCSE and A Level, we will be offering high-quality pastoral care and a huge range of sporting and extra-curricular opportunities designed to educate the whole child – body, mind, heart and spirit.
We are now taking enrolments for the session that begins in April 2017, from Nursery through to Standard 9.
Our teaching rooms include state-of-the-art science laboratories (including a special Prep School lab for the younger scientists), a creative art and design centre and dedicated music studios. We have an area devoted to our Pre-Prep students. We also have superb sporting facilities, including a competition-length swimming pool and public performance areas.
Boarders will feel completely at home in our comfortable, clean and well-furnished dormitories. All this is set within the stunning grounds of our purpose-built campus, designed to provide a safe, calm and inspiring environment, where our students will thrive and be happy.
The quality of teaching is exemplary, going far beyond just preparing students to pass exams. Our teachers, led by experienced British and other ex-patriate staff, will engender a sense of wonder, excitement and enthusiasm for learning. Your children will be inspired to take the first steps in discovering who they are and what they are capable of doing.
We value each person as an individual, with a unique personality and talents, and we will encourage all to contribute fully to the school community. We will also insist on high standards of behaviour, tolerance and consideration for others. Children will be expected to appear neatly dressed at all times and to show good manners to their teachers, support staff and peers. King’s College India will be a consequential environment, where an individual’s actions will have rewards or repercussions as appropriate.
We will also encourage our pupils to develop an understanding of the complex, wider world around them. Active participation in community activities and charitable work will ensure they develop a strong sense of social awareness and responsibility. At Kings College India students will learn the skills they need for life!
As members of the college community, our students, like their predecessors and counterparts at King’s Hall Prep School and King’s College Taunton will develop into humane, considerate members of a global community in which they will play a major future role. A clear sense of warm-heartedness is the fundamental ethos of the school and is a driving force behind all that we do.
Please do come and see us and talk to us. This is a wonderful opportunity to join an extraordinary educational development. We are looking forward to meeting you and your children soon; I can assure you of a warm-hearted welcome!
