Talk to any of our boarders and ask them why they enjoy boarding at King’s College India and you will be told that it is fun, exciting and that they enjoy being with their friends. Boarding is very much at the heart of the School. King’s creates for each of its boarders a caring extended family environment where they feel safe and valued.
A wide spectrum of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities ranging from sports to community service complements our academic program. These activities are both formal and informal by nature.
Whether you’re rehearsing for a play, developing pictures in a darkroom or practicing with a music ensemble or playing basketball, these endeavours offer a respite from strictly academic demands. Our teachers are also coaches, sponsors, counsellors and mentors who understand that education takes place all over the campus-not only in the classroom.

The recreation program is designed to encourage students to participate in structured activities that teach them new skills. Students have fun, develop balance in their social interactions, increase their self-esteem, gain new experiences, learn to plan and set goals, increase their awareness of leisure resources, and develop culturally and emotionally.
The students unwind with movie shows during weekends that are carefully selected by the film committee.
Dorm nights are celebrated in the amphitheatre near the boys and girls dorms. Students exhibit their talent in mono-acting, singing, dancing, acting etc. The dorm nights are organized by the students themselves under the guidance of matrons / wardens. Thus they learn to take up responsibility of organizing events in a disciplined and orderly manner.
